Diego Ismael Rivera

Diego Ismael Rivera, 78, formerly of Central Falls, passed away early Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Carmen M. Martinez who passed away last year. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, a son of Maria Rivera and has lived in Rhode Island for the last 21 years.He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by a son Diego I. Rivera Jr. of Florida, three daughters, Margaret Rivera with whom he made his home in Pawtucket, Grace and Ana Rivera also of Pawtucket. He was the Grandfather of 11, four of whom he raised, Diego I. Berrios of Massachusetts, Jonathan Roman of Warwick, Jessica Rodriguez of East Providence and Lisbeth Rodriguez of Providence. He also leaves 19 Great Grandchildren and a Great Great Grandson. He was the brother of Doris H. Rivera of Chicago, Nereida Rivera and Aida L. Vazquez, both of Puerto Rico.

His Funeral will be held Friday  at 10 AM from the Charles Coelho Funeral Home, followed by burial with Military Honors in No. Burial Ground, Branch Ave. Providence. Calling Hours, in the Funeral Home Thursday evening, 5-8PM.
