Joan A. Sosville, 82 years young, of Blackstone Falls, Central Falls, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those she loved on Thursday at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence, after an illness. Joan was the devoted wife of the late Donald A. Sosville who predeceased her in 2005.
She was born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude (Houston) Vashey, she lived most of her life in Pawtucket and the surrouding area.She had been employed at the Jewish Community Center for several years. She also had worked as a private care giver. Joan was a life member of St. Mary's Church in Pawtucket and was faithful to attending Mass until her illness prevented her from doing so. She enjoyed reading and in earlier years, she enjoyed playing Polka and Hi Lo Jack.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra Deroche and her Companio Michael Gregorio of Pawtucket, 5 sons, William C. Salisbury and Michael E. Salisbury both of Pawtucket, Kenneth K. Salisbury and David P. Salisbury both of Florida and Eric R. Salisbury of Texas. she also leaves 18 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. She was the sister of the late Gert Lebeau, Ed Vashey and Dorothy Piche.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket TUESDAY, March 7, 2017 at 10 A M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial is Private.
