Yronelis Mercedes Salas

Yronelis Mercedes Salas of Pawtucket passed away with her loving family at her side on January 28, 2026.  She was 69 years old. 

Yronelis was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on September 23, 1956.  Upon coming to the United States, Miss Salas settled in Central Falls, later graduating from Central Falls High School.  She later met the love of her life, Jose Manuel Moran at Roger Williams Park in Providence and they went on to share 48 years of a life defined by true love and commitment. 

People were naturally drawn to Miss Salas, she was a kind and happy person.  She would help anyone and she held a firm, true faith in Jesus Christ.  Yronelis was an excellent mother, a role she played twice, as she raised not only her own children but, as a younger woman, she stepped into the role of mother for her younger brothers. 

A cherished wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Yronelis’ life will be celebrated on Wednesday February 4th at 10am during a funeral service in the Living Hope Assembly of God 100 Broadway Pawtucket, RI.  Procession to Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket for committal will follow.

Yronelis nació en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, el 23 de septiembre de 1956.  Al llegar a Estados Unidos, la señorita Salas se estableció en Central Falls, y más tarde se graduó en Central Falls High School.  Más tarde conoció al amor de su vida, José Manuel Moran, en Roger Williams Park en Providence, y compartieron 47 años de amor verdadero y compromiso. 

La gente se sentía naturalmente atraída por la señorita Salas, era una persona amable y feliz.  Ayudaría a cualquiera y tenía una fe firme y verdadera en Jesucristo.  Yronelis fue una madre excelente, papel que interpretó dos veces, ya que no solo criaba a sus propios hijos sino que, siendo joven, asumió el papel de madre para sus hermanos pequeños. 

La vida de Yronelis, esposa, madre, abuela y hermana muy querida, se celebrará el miércoles 4 de febrero a las 10:00 durante un servicio funerario en la Asamblea de Dios Living Hope, 100 Broadway, Pawtucket, RI.  A continuación, habrá procesión hacia el cementerio de Notre Dame en Pawtucket para su funeral.
