Wilven S. Cartagena Garcia

Wilven S. Cartagena Garcia, a resident of Pawtucket, passed away on the morning of November 12, 2025, under the care of Philip Hultiar Hope Hospice in Providence.  Mr. Cartagena was 66 years old. 

Wilven was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on October 3, 1959, son of Jesus Cartagena and Delia E. Garcia.  He was raised Catholic and carried his faith lovingly in his heart for all of his life.  Mr. Cartagena was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Parish in Central Falls and attended Mass weekly.  He was an intelligent man and considered himself blessed to attend college in Connecticut, earning a several semesters worth of college credits.

Mr. Cartagena enjoyed television and going for walks.  He made shopping trips frequently, some of his favorite stores being BJ’s and Walmart, amongst others.  Wilven was a kind man, a good father and a beloved brother. 

In accordance with Mr. Cartagena’s wishes, all services will remain private.  Arrangements entrusted to the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
