William Fournier Obituary

William “Bill” M. Fournier of Southport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on July 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his partner, Daureen Clyde.

Bill was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, the son of William O. Fournier and Dorothy (Grossi). In addition to his parents, he survived his late wife, Kay (Follett). Bill held a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Providence College and was an Operations Manager with Sterngold and Engelhard for most of his career before becoming a PERS Programmer for Tunstall Americas. Bill enjoyed his years at Providence College and was a dedicated fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions, and Brown University Bears. He had a passion for listening to music of all genres and watching the Westerns of his youth, especially, The Wild Wild West.

He is survived by his beloved partner Daureen Clyde of Southport, North Carolina, his brother-in-law David Follett, his niece Nikki Pannone, her husband Shawn, and their daughters Mia and Madison, as well as his nephew Scott Follett and his sons Ryan and Nicholas, and many cousins in the New England area. He was also an active member of the In-Sight Community in Warwick, RI where he will be missed by staff and his many friends, especially Doreen's Yoga Group.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend Bill's Celebration of Life on Friday, July 10th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Charles Coelho Funeral Home, 151 Cross Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island. His final resting place will be at Mount St. Mary's Cemetery, 661 Prospect Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
