William “Bill” James Cote 85 of Providence passed away on June 24, 2022 under the care of Philip Hulitar Hope Hospice in Providence. Mr. Cote was the husband of Deborah Cote.
Bill was born in Pawtucket on May 2, 1937, son of the late Henry L. and Mary G. (Burke) Cote. Following his graduation from high school, Mr. Cote served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the U.S.S. Henrico (APA-45) as an Electricians Mate (EM3) until he was Honorably Discharged on January 30, 1959.
Mr. Cote had an extraordinary work ethic and he had many talents as a handyman, he could do anything. For many years he worked in the flooring and carpet installation field with his wife Deborah, a business that they took great pride in. In his down time, Bill enjoyed playing golf and he was a devote Christian.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Cote is survived by his 2 daughters Deborah of Pawtucket and Melinda of California. He also leaves a step son, Anthony of Cumberland. Bill was a proud grandfather of 5. Along with his parents, Mr. Cote is reunited with his brother and sister.
Private Cremation will take place in Western Hills Crematory of Cranston. Following Cremation, burial with Military Honors will take place in Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter at 10am on Wednesday July 6, 2022.
