Walter Oakley Jr. Obituary
Walter B. Oakley Jr., 71, of Broad Street in Central Falls, passed away at Miriam Hospital in Providence, after an illness. He was the husband of the late Jeannie (Dumond) Oakley.
Walter was born in Central Falls, a son of the late Walter B. Oakley Sr. and Phyllis (Goodier) Oakley and lived most of his life in the city.
He is survived by two daughters, Deana Vermillion of West Virginia and Rhonda Tartaglia of Warwick and five grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He also leaves six sisters, Robin Kuras of Pawtucket, Melissa Byron of Florida, Carleen Roman and JoAnne Schoolcraft both of Central Falls, Sandra Detonanncourt of Lincoln and Cheryl Dress of Cumberland.
He was also the brother of the late Tommy Oakley and Cynthia Barnes both of California.
Services were private.
