Walter Joseph Chlebek passed away peacefully on the evening of January 11, 2022 at Philip Hulitar Hope Hospice in Providence. Mr. Chlebek was 79 years old and he was the husband of the late Barbara (Owens) Chlebek. He was born on December 17, 1942 in Providence and was the son of the late Walter S. and Julia (Kowal) Chlebek. Walter served his country honorably as a Sailor in the United States Navy from 1960-1963. Following his military service, Mr. Chlebek became self employed, working as a graphic artist for many years.
Walter is survived by his children; Christopher Chlebek of Central Falls and Jennifer Frezza of North Providence. He was also the proud grandfather of Michael, Jacob, Aiden and Noah. Mr. Chlebek was the brother of Bruce Chlebek of Central Falls and the late David Chlebek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Walter was always full of life, jokes and projects to work on, especially his cars. He became friends with everyone he interacted with. Mr. Chlebek was a man with a chronic case of a great outlook on life and it carried over to everything he did. One of Walter's true passions was the band he was an avid fan of, "Nightwish", he loved them and wanted everyone to like them. He will be severely missed by all who's lives he touched.
