Walter Luis Castro Rodriguez

With sadness, we announce the passing of Walter L. Castro Rodriguez, 28, of Central Falls. Walter passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice in Providence after a battle with cancer. He was born in Fajado, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of Catherine Rodriguez and the late Angel Castro.

 He has lived in the city most of his life. and was employed as a welder at Electric Boat for the last 4 years. Walter loved fishing, enjoyed music, enjoyed playing basketball and especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Besides his mother, he leaves three sisters, Denise Vanterpool of Central Falls, Naishasae Castro of Rumford and Keysha Rodriguez of Pawtucket; two brothers, Angel Castro of No. Providence and Felix Villaronga of Puerto Rico, several aunts and cousins. He also leave his best friend, Alonzo Marte of Central Falls. He was the Grandson of the late Felix Rodriguez who predeceased him last month.
