Thomas "Tom" Scott, Jr.

Thomas “Tom” Scott, Jr. 59 of Central Falls passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023 following a brief illness.  He was the loving father of Jennifer Ellen Ruggles and her companion Jon St. Francis of Vermont.

Tom was born in Plymouth, MA on April 22, 1964 and was the son of the late Thomas Sr. and Sybil Ann (Bellrose) (Scott).  He spent many happy times in Hanson, MA at his grandparents home.  Mr. Scott’s true talent was repair work on small engines, chainsaws and tractors.  He loved to tinker and fix engines.  Tom also enjoyed woodworking, antiques and “fix-it” type TV programs.  What Tom will be forever known for is the quality man that he was.  His kindness and gentle nature was a true treasure for all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved daughter Tom is survived by his grandchildren Justin Todd Dingman and Jayce St. Francis.  He is also survived by his sisters Rhetta A. Scott of Central Falls and Jennifer Brattlof and her husband Richard of Florida.  He is survived by several nieces and Nephews including; Duane Scott, Justin Scott (his wife Nikki), Shonna Scott, Zachary Scott, Raeli Scott-Joiner, Jaeliana Silva, Alyssa Brattlof, Eric Brattlof and his wife Naomi.  He was the great uncle of Kalani Scott and Mason Brattlof.

In accordance with Tom’s wishes there will be no calling hours.  A graveside service will be celebrated on Friday September 1, 2023 in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson, MA.  Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls in entrusted with Tom’s arrangements.
