Susan (Betts) Beland 60 of Pawtucket formerly of Attleboro, MA passed away on the morning of July 16, 2022, at her home. She was born in Attleboro, MA and was the daughter of the late Charles, Sr. and Doris (Howarth) Betts. Susan graduated from Attleboro High School as a member of the Class of 1979.
Throughout her career as a stone setter, Susan worked for several prominent jewelry manufacturers. Locally, she worked for the well- known Balfour Company of Attleboro and later for Jostens Co. Most recently Ms. Beland worked for Tiffany & Co. of New York City. Outside of her work, Susan enjoyed exercising her creativity through crafts, especially crochet and knitting. She was a smart and frugal lady who will be remembered for her strength and independence. Candles were a special pleasure of hers as was enjoying the beach.
Susan is survived by her daughter Bobbi Lee Beland and her partner Justin Champagne, Sr. of North Attleboro, MA. Both Bobbi Lee and Justin will remember Susan as being, “the best lady they knew”. Ms. Beland would take her summers off to spend time with her daughter and her growing family. She was the proud and doting grandmother of Justin Champagne, Jr., Travis Champagne and Dylan Champagne all of North Attleboro, MA. Susan is also survived by her siblings, Beverly Zimmerman of Vermont, Mildred Marques of So. Attleboro, MA, Charles Betts, Jr. of Pawtucket, Gary Betts of Central Falls, Frederick Betts of Block Island. Susan is reunited with her brothers; the late Williams “Billy” Betts and Robert “Bobby” Betts.
Cremation will be private. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of The Coelho Home of Central Falls.
