Sukhdev Singh

Sukhdev Singh a longtime resident of Attleboro, Massachusetts, passed away at the Boston Medical Center on October 28, 2025.  He was 78 years old.  Mr. Singh was the beloved husband of Bhupinder Kaur, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Sukhdev was born on June 1, 1947, in Punjab, India, son of the late Basant Kaur and Harnam Singh.  He was raised and educated in India and later came to the United States 30 years ago, settling in Attleboro, Massachusetts, later owning and operating a successful convenience store in Greenville, RI.

Mr. Singh was a highly intelligent and inquisitive man.  He was an encyclopedia of history and world politics; he followed the news extremely closely.  Older Indian music and his family were Sukhdev’s enjoyments.

Sukhdev Singh is survived by his beloved wife Bhupinder Kaur.  He was the adored father of Surinder Singh, Gurinder Singh and Gagandeep “Gina” Kaur.  Mr. Singh was a grandfather of 10 grandchildren.  Sukhdev is survived by his sister Vidya and is reunited with his 4 late brothers and 3 late sisters.  In addition to several relatives and friends, Mr. Singh is also survived by his “soul son”, Jay Vij.

Sukhdev’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday November 15th at 11am at Swan Point Cemetery in the Chapel of Hope & Memory 585 Blackstone Blvd in Providence.  Cremation will follow his funeral services.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI.
