Stil Manzueta Galvez of Marathon, Florida was a caring husband, father, son, brother, and a good friend of many. He returned to his Heavenly Father suddenly, on Mother’s Day, while in Key West. Though only 42 years old, Stil lived a full and rich life.
He was born in San Pedro De Marcoris, Dominican Republic, the son of Victor Manzueta Campania and Adalis Javier Galvez. When he arrived in the United States in 2004, Stil and Penny made their home in Islamorada, Florida. In 2011, he proudly became an US Citizen. For the past fifteen years, he resided in Marathon, where he operated a successful yard maintenance and landscaping business.
Stil made friends easily and was well known throughout the Keys community. His positive outlook, generous spirit, and beautiful heart left an impression everywhere. He went out of his way to help those in need and had an incredible work ethic that will be forever remembered. He enjoyed working with his hands, not only with plants, but also in the construction of his second home in the DR. Playing dominoes against Stil was usually accompanied with dark rum and laughter; of course, he usually won! Stil was also an excellent chef and often used food to express his affection for his friends and family. His hospitality and delicious home cooking will be greatly missed.
Stil was predeceased by his father and his sister, Yecenia Manzueta Melendez. He is survived by his wife, Penny Manzueta; his son, Oftin Manzueta DeLaCruz and Oftin’s mother Dilenny DeLaCruz; his daughter Gabriella Galvez and Gabriella’s mother Kerry Tamara Graham; his daughter Yomairy Manzueta Arvelo and the Arvelo family; his sisters Yessica Contreras Javier, Jennifer Contreras Javier, Marleni Beaton Javier, and Yuleysi Beaton Javier; and a host of extended family in the DR and USA. His family in Dominican Republic honored Stil’s memory on Sunday with a procession through the neighborhood where he grew up.
His absence in our lives is profound, but we rejoice knowing Stil is in peace and resting until we meet again.
Visiting hours and a funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 19th at in The Coelho Home, 151 Cross Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island, 02863. Visitation from 4:00 – 6:30 PM, and funeral beginning at 6:30 PM. Burial will take place in Pocasset Cemetery in Cranston, Rhode Island on Friday, May 20th at 11:00 AM.
A celebration of Stil’s life is planned for Tuesday, May 31st from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the Florida Keys Steak and Lobster House in Marathon, Florida.

Stil Manzueta Galvez de Marathon, Florida fue un cariñoso esposo, padre, hijo, hermano y buen amigo de muchos. Regresó a su Padre Celestial de repente, en el Día de la Madre, mientras estaba en Cayo Hueso. Aunque solo tenía 42 años, Stil vivió una vida plena y rica.
Nació en San Pedro De Marcoris, República Dominicana, hijo de Victor Manzueta Campania y Adalis Javier Galvez. Cuando llegó a los Estados Unidos en 2004, Stil y Penny establecieron su hogar en Islamorada, Florida. En 2011, orgullosamente se convirtió en ciudadano estadounidense. Durante los últimos quince años, residió en Marathon, donde operó un exitoso negocio de mantenimiento de jardines y paisajismo.
Stil hizo amigos fácilmente y era muy conocido en la comunidad de Keys. Su perspectiva positiva, espíritu generoso y hermoso corazón dejaron una impresión en todas partes. Hizo todo lo posible para ayudar a los necesitados y tenía una ética de trabajo increíble que será recordada para siempre. Disfrutó trabajar con sus manos, no solo con las plantas, sino también en la construcción de su segunda casa en RD. Jugar al dominó contra Stil solía ir acompañado de ron oscuro y risas; por supuesto, ¡generalmente ganaba! Stil falleció antes que su padre y su hermana, Yecenia Manzueta Melendez. Le sobreviven su esposa, Penny Manzueta; su hijo, Oftin Manzueta DeLaCruz y la madre de Oftin, Dilenny DeLaCruz; su hija Gabriella Galvez y la madre de Gabriella, Kerry Tamara Graham; su hija Yomairy Manzueta Arvelo y la familia Arvelo; sus hermanas Yessica Contreras Javier, Jennifer Contreras Javier, Marleni Beaton Javier y Yuleysi Beaton Javier; y una gran cantidad de familia extendida en la RD y los EE. UU. Su familia en República Dominicana honró la memoria de Stil el domingo con una procesión por el barrio donde creció.
Su ausencia en nuestras vidas es profunda, pero nos alegra saber que Stil está en paz y descansando hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar.

El velorio será de 4:00 p. m. a 6:30 p. m. y el funeral comenzará a las 6:30 p. m. PM. El entierro tendrá lugar en el cementerio de Pocasset en Cranston, Rhode Island, el viernes 20 de mayo a las 11:00 a. m.
