Obituary
Santos Reyes of Providence passed away unexpectedly on May 6, 2023 at his home. Mr. Reyes was 57 years old. He was born in The Bronx, New York on November 18, 1965 to his parents Leonida Muriel Torruella of Ponce, Puerto Rico and the late Juan Miguel Reyes Torres.
Mr. Reyes worked as a landscaper for several years. Church was deeply important to Santos. Prior to becoming a landscaper, Mr. Reyes attended Johnson & Wales University’s Culinary Institute and furthered his talents in the kitchen. He was also a huge fan of the New York Yankees.
Santos is survived by his children; Jose Javier Reyes, Jonathan Reyes, Sindy Reyes, Sandy Reyes and Anthony Reyes. He was a proud grandfather of 12 and a great grandfather of 1. Mr. Reyes was the brother of Roberto Cruz Muriel, Maria Mercedes Munoz Muriel, Juan Luis Reyes Muriel, Aidee Reyes Muriel, Vicente Reyes Muriel, Leonore Reyes Muriel and Pedro Juan Reyes Muriel.
Visitation and Prayer Services will be held 5-8pm on Thursday May 11th in The Coelho Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls. Funeral Services and burial will be held in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
