Ruz Marina Castano 82 of Providence passed away on March 7, 2023 at Berkshire Place Nursing Home. She was born on July 6, 1940 in Cali, Armenia, Colombia and was the daughter of the late Juan Clavijo and Celia Castano. Ms. Castano was the wife of the late Armando Figueroa
Ruz worked as a seamtress and Health Textiles. She was extremely devoted to her family. Ms. Castano was Catholic who was deeply committed to her faith. Ruz was a member of the Adult Day Neighbor group at Progesso Latino Social.
Besides her husband and parents, Ruz was predeceased by her son Guisepe Usma. She was the sister of Ferney Clavijo of Providence, Erneyde Clavijo, the late Guilhermo Castano, the late Jose Castano, the late Jaime Castano, the late Mauro Castano and the late Adelbert Castano.
Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday March 12th from 3-6pm in The Coelho Home 151 Cross St Central Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30am on Monday March 13th at St. John the Baptist Church 69 Quincy Ave. in Pawtucket. Interment will follow in North Burial Ground in Providence.
