Rosa Maria Martinez Alimany of Central Falls, formerly of Pawtucket and Providence passed away peacefully on the evening of July 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was 73 years old. Rosa was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on February 18, 1949 and was the third oldest of the twelve children of the late Eguenio Martinez and Guillermina Alimany.
Family was everything to Ms. Martinez as she was a doting mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a happy woman who always had a smile on her face. Rosa also enjoyed gardening and taking care of her plants. She was also a devoted catholic who had a strong faith in God.
Ms. Martinez is survived by her children; Rosa Vargas, Mayra Vargas, Atilano Vargas and Carlos Vargas. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Rosa is reunited with 8 of her siblings while being survived by 3 of them.
Her Services will be held in Puerto Rico. There will be NO services or visitation prior.
