Roger A. Cousineau

Roger A. Cousineau 93 of Central Falls passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023 at Philip Hulitar-Hope Hospice in Providence.  Mr. Cousineau was the husband of the late Francoise (Coderre) Cousineau.

Roger was born on June 7, 1930 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, son of the late Simon and Germain (Lessard) Cousineau.  He and his family settled in Central Falls in 1961 and worked in the textile industry for his entire career until retiring at the age of 73. 

Mr. Cousineau was known for his strong work ethic and his deep commitment to his family.  He was a dependable Dad who always had his children’s back and a thoughtful provider.  Roger made use of his great sense of humor, while also having an independent, stubborn streak.  Spending time with his family is what brought Roger the most joy.

Some of Roger’s enjoyments were keeping current on the news, reading biographies and autobiographies and playing cards.

Roger A. Cousineau is survived by his children; Nancy Cousineau, Mark A. Cousineau.  Mr. Cousineau leaves behind his grandchildren; Westly Lallier, Clare Cousineau, William Cousineau and Lillian Cousineau.  Roger is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.  He was the brother of Jean Claude Cousineau, Rheal Cousineau, Serge Cousineau and Pierette Lemay.  In addition to his wife, Roger is reunited with one of his children; the late Christian Lallier.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 22nd from 10am-11:30am in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI 02863.  A Catholic funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 11:30am.  Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery in Pawtucket.
