Rigoberto Tecun, beloved husband of Maria Del Carmen Tecun, passed away peacefully on June 21st at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient center in Providence, after an illness. He was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, a son of the late Pedro Andres Lopez and Gregoria Tecun. He has lived in Pawtucket several yeasr and had been employed at the Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket as a kitchen porter for many years.
Mr. Tecun had been a soccer player in Guatemala and loved the sport, he was as an avid reader, and was an artist. He had an unforgettable smile and the personality to go with it. He enjoyed his work and talking to the residents as if they were family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Dr, Stephanie Favreau and her husband James of No. Attleboro and a son Diego Tecun, NP and his wife Kelly of Cranston. He also leaves a sister Fransisca Franco of Pawtucket. He was the cherished grandfather to Clark and Audrey Favreau. He was predeceased by a brother Tomas Tecun, sister Carmen Tecun.
Visitation will be held WEDNESDAY evening from 6 until 8 PM in the Coelho Home, Central Falls. As was his wishes, there will be cremation.
