Richard Rene Messier

Richard Rene Messier 70, passed away on June 27, 2025, at Hebert Health Center in Smithfield.  He was born on May 2, 1955, in Central Falls and was the son of Anita A. (Laverdiere) and Rene Oscar Messier. 

Mr. Messier worked in hospitals as an Environmental Specialist.  Richard enjoyed going to Twin River Casino in Lincoln.  He also loved bowling, movies and being with family and friends.

Richard is survived by his girl of 23 years, Susan Brumbaugh.  He is survived by his son Andrew and his daughter Amber.  Mr. Messier was the beloved step father of Tinc and Glen, Jr..  He was the proud grandfather of 3 granddaughters and 4 grandsons.  Also survived by several relatives and friends.    

In accordance with Richard’s final wishes, private cremation was held.  A Memorial Service will be celebrated at a later date.  Arrangements under the care of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
