Raimundo Veguilla

Raimundo Veguilla a long time resident of Providence passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on December 16, 2021.  Mr. Veguilla was 64 years old.  Raimundo came to the United States from Puerto Rico when he was in his late teen years.  He settled in Providence, the city he was proud to call home.  Mr. Veguilla was very active in Providence and was well known by many, especially at his church, The First Church of God on Elmwood Ave.  His dedication to the church was inspiring and his friendship with his Pastor Carlos Gomez was a relationship that was very dear to him.  Raimundo was an old school, hard working man.  He worked as a construction worker for many years and his work can be seen in Providence as well as throughout the entire State of Rhode Island.  Mr. Veguilla was extremely talented with home improvement projects and he could fixed anything.  His greatest work and passion though were his grandchildren who adored him as their silly grandpa.  

Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico on November 20, 1957 he was the son of Elsa Violetta Veguilla and was raised in Ponce.  Raimundo was the loving father of Jasmin Veguilla Cintron, Raimundo Cintron and Floyd Varner.  He was the proud grandfather of Yahneisa Raye Gomes, Raimundo A. Cintron III, Raimir Cintron, Yailanee Varner and Floyd Varner III.  Mr. Veguilla is also survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.  

Private cremation will take place and Memorial Services will be held Sunday December 19th, at 9:30 AM at the church that was so dear to his heart, the First Church of God 786 Elmwood Ave. Providence, RI 02907.  Arrangements are under the care of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI 02863.

Raimundo Veguilla un residente de la ciudad de Providence, fallecio en el hospital de Rhode Island el 16 de diciembre, 2021.  El senor Veguilla tenia 64 anos.  Raimundo llego a los Estados Unidos de Puerto Rico en su adolencia.  Llego a Providence, la ciudad que con orgullo llamo su casa.  El Senor Veguilla fue muy activo en la ciudad de Providence y muy reconocido por muchos, especialmente en su congregacion, (iglesia).Su dedicacion a la iglesia fue de mucha inspiracion y su amistad con el pastor Carlos Gomez fue muy bonita para el. 

Raimundo era de la vieja guardia, un hombre muy trabajador.  trabajo en construccion por muchos anos, y su trabajo se puede ver en la ciudad de Providence tambien en casi todo el estado de Rhode Island.  El senor Veguilla fue extremadamente talentoso con las mejoras de casas.   su pacion mas grande fueron  sus nietos qauie adoraban a su abuelo gracioso.

Nacio en Salinas, Puerto Rico un 20 de noviembre, 1957, fue hijo de Elsa Violetta Veguilla y crecio en Ponce.  Raimundo fue el padre de Jasmin Veguilla Cintron, Raimundo Cintron y Floyd Varner.  Orgulloso abuelo de Yahneisa Raye Gomes, Raimondo A Cintron III, Raimir Cintron, Yailanee Varner y Floyd Varner III.  El senor Veguilla tambien le sobrevive sus hermanos, hermanas, sobrinos, sobrinas, y muchos amigos queridos.

Se llevara a cabo una cremacion privada y se llevara a cabo un servicio conmemorativo a 9:30 AM   en la iglesia que tanto amaba, the First church of God, en la 786 Elmwood Ave, Providence, RI 02907,  el 19 de diciembre.  Los arreglos estan bajo el cuidado de la Funeraria Charles Coelho, 151 Cross St, Central Falls, RI 02863.
