Pauline T. (Levesque) Marques

Pauline T. Marques of Pawtucket passed away on Thursday July 17, 2025 at the Philip Hulitar-Hope Hospice Center in Providence.  Ms. Marques was 85 years old. 

Pauline was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to her loving parents, Leona (Ratte) and Arthur Levesque.  She grew up in and was educated in Pawtucket.  Her Catholic faith was important to her and St. John the Baptist on Quincy Ave. in Pawtucket was a corner stone in her life.  Ms. Marques worked as a weaver at Moore Fabrics and later went on to work for Corning Glass in Central Falls.  In 1997, Pauline was elected the first female Union President.

She was a dedicated mother and encouraged her sons in anything they did, especially sports, making sure that they had the proper equipment, even if it meant working overtime.  Pauline’s natural work ethic was fitting both personally and professionally.  Traveling was one of her enjoyments, as some highlights included Las Vegas and Hawaii.  In her relaxation time Pauline enjoyed knitting and her cats. 

Pauline T. Marques is survived by her sons; John Marques and his wife Donna of North Attleborough, MA and Tony Marques and his wife Mary on Lincoln.  She was the proud grandmother of Anthony Marques, Trevor Marques and Richard Marques and Roxanne Kelly.  She was great grandmother of Brian and Lexi.  Pauline was a loving sister and cousin. 

Visiting Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held on Tuesday July 22nd from 4-7pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI 02863.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 23rd at 10am in St. John the Baptist Parish 69 Quincy Ave. in Pawtucket.  Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery 359 Dagget Ave. in Pawtucket.
