Pauline A. (Turmel) Flanagan, a lifelong resident of Pawtucket passed away on March 13, 2023 at her home with her beloved family at her side. Ms. Flanagan was 68 years old. She was the loving companion of Bernard Lewandowski with whom she shared over 30 years of commitment.
Pauline was born in Pawtucket on February 21, 1955 to her parents; the late David and Marcella Turmel. She worked for Standard Uniform on Pine Street in Pawtucket however her true calling was as a homemaker, raising her children. Ms. Flanagan made a lasting impact on her family. She was a fighter, defeating breast cancer. Her outgoing and great personality revealed what a loving and caring person she was. She also had the ability to tell great jokes.
Some of Pauline’s enjoyments included going for drives in the snow and walking at Lincoln Woods. She also enjoyed the beach where she found great peace gazing at the ocean. Pauline loved going out to eat, especially for fish & chips.
In addition to her companion Bernard, Pauline is survived by her loving children; Carleen Flanagan of Providence, Tracey Strong of N. Providence, John Flanagan of Lincoln, Tiffany Branson of Florida, Bernard Lewandowski “JR” of Pawtucket and Bradley Haggerty of North Providence. She is reunited with her son the late Keith Flanagan. Ms. Flanagan was the proud grandmother of Jayce, Mason, Ashley, Devon, Olivia, Connor, Nikia, Seth, Nathan and Faith.
Pauline was the beloved sister of Linda Conroy of Johnston and the late Daniel Turmel, David Turmel and Marlene Derault.
In accordance with her wishes, Pauline’s private cremation will take place at Western Hills Crematory in Cranston. Arrangements are under the care and direction of The Coelho Home-Funeral Directors of Central Falls.
