Paul Normand Gignac

Paul Normand Gignac 74 of North Smithfield passed away on February 16, 2026, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence.  He was born on December 23, 1951, in Woonsocket, son of the late Napoleon and Florina Gignac. 

Paul was a Sailor to the core.  He was a United States Sailor in the Navy, serving our country Honorably as a Boatswain Mate.  A valued employee, Paul, worked at Electric Boat for 20 years and later owned a laundry mat in Smithfield.  Mr. Gignac loved being on the water, he was a Sailor to the core.

Paul Normand Gignac was the father of Jamie Chito and the late Jason Gignac.  He was the grandfather of Alyssa, Brittany, Calen and Bryce.  Beloved brother of Vivian Martin and Patricia Gignac.  Uncle of Several nieces and nephews.  Paul is also survived his beloved dog, Zsh-Zsh.

All services for Mr. Gignac will be private.  Arrangements are under the care of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls, RI.
