Oscar Cumplido Obituary

Oscar Cumplido 72 of Central Falls and formerly longtime of Pawtucket died on September 4, 2024 peacefully at the Philip Hulitar Hope Hospice in Providence.  He was the husband of Judy Calcano.

Mr. Cumplido was born in Barranquilla, Colombia on December 17, 1951 to his parents the late Carmen M. Bustos and Luis Cumplido.  He served in the military as a Sailor in the Colombian Navy.  Oscar immigrated to the United States in 1981, settling in Pawtucket.  Mr. Cumplido worked for the Hasbro Toy Company in Pawtucket for over 20 years, retiring as a supervisor.  He later worked for a medical supply company in Massachusetts until an injury forced him to stop working and officially retire. 

A strong work ethic is something that Oscar possessed however, his kind heart and great humor are what defined him.  Mr. Cumplido was an excellent Dad to his children and was a father-like example to many others.  He had a naturally giving heart.  Oscar had a passion for sports and avidly routed for all the New England Sports teams.  He also stayed loyal to Junior Soccer Club in Barranquilla. 

In addition to his wife Judy Calcano of Central Falls Oscar Cumplido is survived by his children Luis Cumplido and his wife Tatiana of Rumford, Luz Cumplido of Pawtucket, Pablo Ochoa and his wife Elizabeth Morales of North Providence and Paola Ochoa of Central Falls.  He was the proud grandfather of Darren Cumplido, Isabella Cumplido, Eliana Ochoa, Jayden Ochoa, Priscilla De Los Santos, Peter De Los Santos and the late Keslie Cumplido.  Oscar was the brother of Doris C. Gil, Nuris Rosania, Denise E. Jimenez, Rafael Cumplido. Carmen Ines Cumplido, Redentora Cumplido and Euclide Cumplido.  Oscar is also survived by his former wife Nelly Cumplido.

Visiting Hours for Oscar will be held on Monday September 9th from 2-4pm & 6-8pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross Street, Central Falls.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday September 10th at 9:30am in Holy Spirit Parish 1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls.  Interment will follow in North Burial Ground 5 Branch Avenue, Providence.
