Olivia Galdamez De Polanco 87 of Central Falls passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family on May 18, 2026. She was the wife of the late Carlos Alberto Polanco.
Olivia was born in Metapan, Santa Ana, El Salvador on April 7, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Genara Galdamez and Santiago Caranza. Mrs. Polanco was a dedicated mother and homemaker. She had lived in Central Falls since 2002 after living in California for 15 years. Olivia was a devout Christian and a church member at the Providence First Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Polanco is survived by her children, Ana Alarcon and Ilsy Quintanilla both of Central Falls and Carlos Polanco of El Salvador. She was a beloved grandmother of 11 and a great grandmother of 5. In addition to her late husband Carlos, Olivia is reunited with her son, the late Ricardo Polanco.
Visiting Hours and a Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held on Saturday May 24th from 1-4pm in the Providence First Church of the Nazarene 170 Reservoir Ave, Providence. Burial will be held following a funeral in El Salvador in Cementerio General El Socorro in Villa Suiza Metapan, Santa Ana.
