Norma-Jean Kher 64 of Cumberland passed away peacefully on the evening of September 2, 2025 at The Philip Hulitar Hope Hospice Center in Providence following a long illness. She was born on February 27, 1961 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, daughter of Valerie and Armond Houde.
Norma was a graduate of Attleboro High School and a lover of animals, especially her cats; Hazel, Santabo and Catfish, as well as her dogs; Mia and Bibi. She enjoyed music and taking trips to Cancun, Mexico, which she thought of as her 2nd home. In her free time she enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family.
Ms. Kher leaves behind her daughters Magin Carreiro, Jessica Carreiro, January Fontaine and Maryanne Cabral and her son Cole Houde. She was the sister of Valerie Wood and the late Joyce Cross. Norma was a proud grandmother of 20 and a great grandmother of 2. She is also survived by her boyfriend Raymond Polin.
In accordance with her wishes, all services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
