Nilda Cintron Sanchez Obituary

Nilda Cintron Sanchez of Providence passed away on September 16, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.  Ms. Cintron Sanchez was 76 years old.  She was born on May 22, 1946 in Puerto Rico to the late Victor Cintron and Alejandrina Sanchez.  Nilda was the wife of the late Felix Rodriguez.

Ms. Cintron is survived by her daughters; Grisselle Rodriguez of Lincoln, Deliz Rodriguez of Central Falls, Sandra Rodriguez of Florida, Catherine Rodriguez of Central Falls and a son; Pedro Rivera of Puerto Rico.  She was a proud grandmother of 21 and a great grandmother of 18.  Nilda was the sister of Mirian Benitez, Carmen Benitez, Jaime Benitez and is reunited with her late brothers; Edwin Benitez and Jorge Benitez.

While having a home in her native Puerto Rico, Nilda took many trips back and forth to visit her family in Rhode Island, later moving here in 2015.  Family was everything to Ms. Cintron Sanchez and that was most evident by the bond she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed television and loved Spanish food.  For several years while still living in Puerto Rico, Nilda worked in the hospitality industry as a housekeeper.

Calling Hours will be held on Saturday September 24th from 12-4 pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI 02863.  Cremation will follow at Western Hills Crematory in Cranston.

 


Nilda Cintron Sánchez de Providence falleció el 16 de septiembre de 2022 en el Hospital de Rhode Island en Providence. Sra. Cintron Sánchez tenía 76 años. Nació el 22 de mayo de 1946 en Puerto Rico, hijo de Victor Cintron y Alejandrina Sánchez. Nilda era la esposa del difunto Félix Rodríguez.


Sra. A Cintron le sobreviven sus hijas; Grisselle Rodríguez de Lincoln, Deliz Rodríguez de Central Falls, Sandra Rodríguez de Florida, Catalina Rodríguez de Central Falls y un hijo; Pedro Rivera de Puerto Rico. Era una orgullosa abuela de 21 años y una bisabuela de 18 años. Nilda era la hermana de Mirian Benitez, Carmen Benitez, Jaime Benitez y se reúne con sus difuntos hermanos; Edwin Benitez y Jorge Benitez.


Mientras tenía una casa en su Puerto Rico natal, Nilda hizo muchos viajes de ida y vuelta para visitar a su familia en Rhode Island, y más tarde se mudó aquí en 2015. La familia lo era todo para la Sra. Cintron Sánchez y eso fue más evidente por el vínculo que tenía con sus nietos y bisnietos. Le gustaba la televisión y le encantaba la comida española. Durante varios años, mientras todavía vivía en Puerto Rico, Nilda trabajó en la industria hotelera como ama de llaves.


El horario de llamadas se llevará a cabo el sábado 24 de septiembre de 12 a 4 p. m. en la funeraria Charles Coelho 151Cross st Central Falls, RI 02863. La cremación seguirá en el crematorio de Western Hills en Cranston.
