Nikolay Lutskiy Obituary

Nikolay Lutskiy of Pawtucket passed away surrounded by his beloved family at home on August 7, 2024.  Mr. Lutskiy was 77 years old.  He was the husband of Larisa Lutskiy with whom he shared 56 ½ years of marriage that was the definition of what commitment and true love is. 

Mr. Lutskiy was born on January 18, 1947 in Vitebsk, Belarus, son of the late Raisa Zabezhinskaya and Peter Lutskiy.  He was a resident of Pawtucket for 33 years.  Mr. Lutskiy was a musician and worked as a music teacher, in particular guiding students to master the accordion.  He was a funny and outgoing man who was willing to help anyone in need.  Nikolay was a natural leader who through his mental sharpness and strong will would not follow the crowd, he would stand his ground regardless of what others did or suggested he do.  Mr. Lutskiy was well versed in cars and in home searches through taking the time to always research and learn was the best option was, research was a hobby of his.    

Aside from his many attributes and skills, Nikolay will always be defined by his family.  There was no husband, father or grandfather in the world like him.  He was always there for his family no matter the time of day or circumstances.  Mr. Lutskiy shared the workload of caring for his children and grandchildren and he did so with great pride and grace. 

In addition to his wife of 56 ½ years Larisa Lutskiy, Nikolay is survived by his children and creations Julia Lutskiy of Pawtucket and Felix Lutskiy of Florida.  He was the proud and loving grandfather of Regina Lutskiy, Dennis Lutskiy, Gino Lutskiy, Max Lutskiy, Alex Lutskiy and Daniel Lutskiy.  Nikolay was the brother of Anna Keslina of Belarus. 

Services for Nikolay Lutskiy will be celebrated beginning at 1pm in the Historical Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery 585 Blackstone Blvd in Providence.  Burial will follow in the Lutskiy family plot.  Arrangements are under the care of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI.
