Nancy (McGowan) Souza

Nancy (McGowan) Souza of Pawtucket formerly of Central Falls, passed away suddenly on December 14, 2024, at her home.  Ms. Souza was the wife of the late Michael A. Souza. 

Nancy was born on December 13, 1966, in Pawtucket to Margaret (Abrames) and Frederick J. McGowan.  She spent most of her life living in Central Falls prior to moving to Pawtucket in 2014.  Ms. Souza had a special place in her heart for animals especially her Jack Russell Terrier, “Bonkers” and her three cats: “Shoelace”, “Chief”, and “Pete”.  Nancy was also a lifelong and strong faithed Catholic.

Nancy Souza is survived by her children David M. Souza of Cranston and Jessica Smylie of Arizona.  She was the loving grandmother of Liam and Ruby Souza.  Nancy is also survived by her siblings: Priscilla McGowan, Sandra Weber, Patricia Smith, Julie Ong, Shawn McGowan and Eric McGowan.  Ms. McGowan is reunited with her late brother Frederick J. McGowan, Jr., and her late sister Valerie McGowan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday December 23, 2024 at 10 AM  in St. George Maronite Church , 1493 Cranston St. in Cranston.  Following the Mass, a Remembrance will be held at Post 4651, 7 Haven Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.  Arrangements entrusted to the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
