Nancy L. (Allen) Appolonia 70 of Cranston passed away at the Philip Hulitar Hope Hospice Center in Providence on May 7, 2026. She was the wife of the late Carmine J. Appolonia.
Nancy was born on January 17, 1956, in Newport, RI, daughter of the late Beverly Rowena (Greene) and Charles W. Allen. Nancy decided to leave high school in the 9th grade, eventually completing her GED and going on to graduate with a Certification as a Medical Assistant through The Sawyer School.
However, Nancy’s passion was being a mom and homemaker, so much so that the neighborhood kids were always coming over…her home was the place to be. Family and faith were everything to Nancy.
Nancy L. Appolonia is survived by her cherished children, Melissa Babcock, Stephanie Mendez, Donna Cornicelli, Kristy Peterson, and her God Son, whom she considered her own son Peter Seymour. She was the proud grandmother of Justyn Motancey, Gianna Motancey, Emily Mendez, Cassondra McCabe, Isabella Mendez and Brady Babcock. Mrs. Appolonia was the great grandmother of Noah, Lucious, Jaxon and Wyatt. Adored sister of Charles H. Allen, Sr.., John Lariviere, Shirleyanne Lariviere and the late Brenda Vielman.
Committal Services to which relatives and friends will be celebrated at a date to be announced at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI.
