Miriam Trindad 61, a longtime resident of Central Falls died Monday December 12, 2022 at The Miriam Hospital in Providence. She is reunited with the love of her life, the late Jacqueline Martinez who passed away on June 12 of this year.
Born on August 14, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, Miriam was the daughter of the late Jose Trindad and Adela Candelaria. Miriam faced challenges with faith and strength. She used a wheelchair since the age of 13 but, never complained about it. There wasn’t anything that Ms. Trindad could not do. She was an excellent cook and handled all of the household chores herself. Too many people Miriam was simply “Superwoman”.
Miriam was a big New York Yankees fan. She loved music and watching reruns of The Golden Girls. Holidays were a big deal to Miriam, she enjoyed them especially with her children and grandchildren. Her trademark sense of humor was on full display even as she was in the hospital. She was respected and loved by all who knew her.
Miriam was the loving mother of; Michelle Lopez, Ernestine Lopez, Andres Lopez, Eva Lopez and Jonathan Lopez. She was a proud grandmother of 21 and great grandmother to 17. She leaves behind several relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday December 15th from 4-8pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls. A funeral service will be held on Friday December 16th at 10am in the funeral home. Following the services, Miriam will be laid to rest alongside Jacqueline in Woodlawn-North Purchase Cemetery in Attleboro, MA.
