Mercedes Cruz

Mercedes Cruz of Pawtucket passed away on June 30, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at her home.  Ms. Cruz was 88 years old.  She was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on September 28, 1937, daughter of Gregorio Cruz and Ignacia Cotto.  She was a high school graduate and an amazing mother and grandmother. 

Mercedes is survived by loving children and grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her commitment to her family, her style of fashion and for being a faithful woman.

Visiting Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held from 9-11am on Tuesday July 7th in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls.  A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 11am.  Interment will follow in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery 661 Prospect St. Pawtucket.
