Mayra F. Hernandez, 59, passed away after a brief illness. She was born in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, a daughter of Milagros Ramirez of Florida and the late Juan Hernandez. She has lived in Rhode Island for the last 30 years and previously in Taunton, MA and New York. Mayra had been employed by the Central Falls School Dept. as a teachers assistant for 20 years, working until March when she became ill. She was very well liked by the teachers and the students. Mayra was a hard working young lady devoted to her children. She was very respectful to everyone and was always smiling.
Besides her mother, she leaves a daughter, Nayra Trinidad and a son Juan Pierre Hernandez both of Pawtucket. she also leaves three sisters, Anna, and Carmen Hernandez both of Pawtucket and Julia Aponte of the Dominican Republic, and a brother Juan Hernandez of New York. She also leave an extended family in various cities, brothers, Adelso, Rafael, Juan Carlos and Francisco, sisters, Aurora, Margarita, Jocelyn and Yesenia.
VISITATION, MONDAY evening from 5 until 7 PM witha Prayer Service at 7 PM, in the Funeral Home.
Face masks and social distancing is absolutely required. No more than 15 persons in the funeral home at one time.
