Mario Gonzalez, Sr.

Mario Gonzalez, Sr. 59 of Pawtucket died January 15, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.  Mr. Gonzalez was born on August 4, 1964 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, son of Joaquin Carmelo Gonzalez and Guillermina Dominquez.

Mario called Rhode Island home since 1976.  He was a faithful Christian and a member of the Blessed Land Church in Pawtucket.  Mr. Gonzalez was employed for 18 years as a shipping-receiving clerk with NEMF.  Mario’s greatest enjoyment was watching his children and grandchildren play sports.  He was a terrific Dad and Grandfather.

Mario Gonzalez, Sr. is survived by his children; Mario Gonzalez, Jr., Stephanie Gonzalez, both of Pawtucket and Emanuel Gonzalez of Johnston.  He was a proud grandfather of 8 and a great grandfather of 1 with 1 on the way.  Mario is also survived by 8 siblings and he is reunited with his late sister Noemi Sanchez.

Visitation of Mario will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday January 18th in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls.  A funeral service will be celebrated 11am on Friday January 19th in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn No. Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
