Marina De Jesus Villegas-Benitez

Marina De Jesus Villegas Benitez, 82, of Cross Street Central Falls, passed away peacefully, at home Sunday, March 30th. She was the wife of the late Samuel Rodrigo Alvarez. She was born in Medellin, Colombia a daughter of the late Henrique Villegas and Ana Delfa Benitez. She has lived in Rhode Island for the last 5 years, migrating from Colombia. She had been employed as a domestic most of her life but also worked in the textile industry, in Colombia.

She is survived by her two daughters, Catalina Alvarez, with whom she made her home, and Ana Milena Alvarez Villegas of Woonsocket. She was predeceased by six siblings. She also leaves 5 Grandchildren.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 5th at 9:30AM in Holy Spirit Parish Church, 1035 Dexter Street Central Falls. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
