Marie A. (St. Jacques) Gaumond

Marie A. Gaumond of Lauderdale Lakes, Fl, formerly of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026.  She was 83 years old.

Marie was born in Pawtucket on May 6, 1942, daughter of the late Anna (Byrnes) and George St. Jacques.  She was raised and educated in Cumberland.  Ms. Gaumond had a strong work ethic and was devoted to her sons Robert and Brian.  She also worked as a waitress for several years, most notably at Capt. Peg Leg Pete’s in North Attleboro. 

Marie A. Gaumond is survived by her son Brian Gaumond and his wife Nadia of Myrtle Beach, SC.  Ms. Gaumond was the proud grandmother of Gianna Gaumond.  Marie is also survived by her sister Irene Justinski and her brother George St. Jacques, Jr. She is reunited with her son, the late Robert Gaumond and her former husband the late Richard Gaumond. 

Visiting Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held 9-11am on Saturday May 2nd in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls.  A funeral service will be celebrated at 11am in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery 261 W. Wrentham Rd. Cumberland, RI.
