Maribel Mendoza

Maribel Mendoza, de 70 años, de East Providence, anteriormente de Central Falls, falleció en Summit Commons Nursing & Rehab en Providence.  Nació en El Hatico de Los Indios, San Juan Del César, Colombia, el 24 de noviembre de 1955, hija del fallecido Hermes Mendoza Plata y Aurora Mendoza Montano.  La señora Mendoza interpretó el papel de segunda madre para sus hermanos y hermanas siendo la mayor de ocho hermanos.

La Sra. Mendoza emigró a Estados Unidos en 2000, estableciéndose en Central Falls.  Aunque Maribel no podía asistir a misa semanal tan a menudo como le hubiera gustado, mantuvo una fuerte fe católica y asistió a la parroquia Holy Spirit en Central Falls cuando podía.  Maribel era naturalmente trabajadora, trabajando como ensambladora para la empresa Alfred and Vincent Ficaro.  También trabajó para algunas empresas de caramelos.

En su tiempo libre, a Maribel le encantaba cocinar y ayudar a los demás.  Tenía un gusto para la moda en cuanto a ropa y joyas, asegurándose de presentarse siempre con gracia y clase. 

Maribel deja en vida a su hija, Luciellis Nieves de Pawtucket.  Fue la querida hermana de Regulo Segundo II, Eudith Maria Mendoza, Galeano Jose Mendoza, Jose Ignacio Mendoza, Maria T. Mendoza, Elda Silenis y Franklin Mendoza. También le sobreviven varios familiares y amigos.

Maribel Mendoza 70 of East Providence, formerly of Central Falls passed away at Summit Commons Nursing & Rehab in Providence.  She was born in El Hatico de Los Indios, San Juan Del Cesar, Colombia on November 24, 1955, daughter of the late Hermes Mendoza Plata and Aurora Mendoza Montano.  Ms. Mendoza played the role of a second mother to her brothers and sisters as the oldest of 8 children.

Ms. Mendoza immigrated to the United States in 2000, settling in Central Falls.  Although Maribel was unable to attend weekly Mass as often as she would have liked, she maintained a strong Catholic faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish in Central Falls when she was able.  Maribel was a naturally hard worker, holding employment as an assembler for the Alfred and Vincent Ficaro company.  She also worked for a few candy companies.

In her spare time, Maribel loved to cook and help others.  She had a tasteful sense of fashion in regard to her clothes and jewelry, making sure to always present herself with grace and class. 

Maribel is survived by her daughter, Luciellis Nieves of Pawtucket.  She was the beloved sister of Regulo Segundo II, Eudith Maria Mendoza, Galeano Jose Mendoza, Jose Ignacio Mendoza, Maria T. Mendoza, Elda Silenis and Franklin Mendoza. Also survived by several relatives and friends.
