Luis D. Velez “Bebo” 31 years old passed away unexpectedly on the morning of June 14, 2024, at his home in Providence, RI. He was the son of Irish Cruz and Juan Velez. Luis was born in Pawtucket, RI on August 15, 1992. “Bebo” was the loving brother of Enrique Hernandez “Gordo”, Jose Hernandez “Chiqui” and the late Antonio Hernandez. He is survived by his nieces and nephew whom he loved as his own kids; Antiono Hernandez, Serenity Hernandez, Ares Aleong and Jose Hernandez III along with several aunts and uncles. Luis was the grandson of Quique and Marta Cruz.
Luis was a talented street artist and tattoo artist. Mr. Velez also worked as a laborer in the construction field. He enjoyed skateboarding and was known was his quick wit and his super funny personality. “Bebo” was a Mama’s Boy and an incredible uncle. Luis was “the sticky glue that kept the family together. He helped everyone else before worrying about himself. His loving and caring nature and free spirit will be missed by all who loved him.
Calling Hours will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday June 20th in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross Street in Central Falls, RI. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend.
