Luis A. Malave, Sr. a resident of Pawtucket and formerly Central Falls passed away on Tuesday May 7, 2024 following a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Malave was 68 years old and was the husband of Norma Rosario.
Luis was born on December 15, 1955 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He was the son of the late Esperanca Cardelnales and Vincente Malave. Mr. Malave was had a strong faith and was raised catholic. Luis was proud of both his native Puerto Rico and his mainland United States, so much that he selflessly decided to serve as a Soldier in The United States Army, a service that both he and his family take great pride in.
Following his service to our country he made his living as a factory worker in manufacturing plants and factories. Most of all he was an amazing family man. Luis was the best husband, Dad and Grandfather that anyone could have asked for. He will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Luis A. Malave, Sr. is survived by the love of his life Norma Rosario of Pawtucket. He was the father of Luis A Malave, Jr. of Pawtucket, Jorge A. Malave of Cranston and Charlene Malave of Pawtucket. Mr. Malave was a proud grandfather of 9 and a great grandfather of 10. He leaves behind his siblings; Jose Manuel Malave, Jorge Wilson Malave, Maria N. Malave and Ana Matilde Malave all of Puerto Rico.
Luis’ life will be celebrated during Visitation from 4-6pm on Saturday May 11th in The Coelho Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI 02863. Private Cremation will follow.
