Luis Carlos Estrada, a long -time resident of Pawtucket passed away on the morning of December 23, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Estrada was 88 years old. He is reunited with his wife, the late Bertha Lina Estrada who passed away in 2017.
Luis was born on January 16, 1934 in Itagui, Colombia and was the son of the late Carlos Enrique Estrada and Alicia Restrepo. After coming to the United States, Mr. Estrada worked for many years as a textile mechanic and was employed by Pontiac Textiles and Cadillac Textiles.
In his younger days, Mr. Estrada was an avid reader and loved soccer. He was well known in the Pawtucket-Central Falls community as a man who helped people and did good deeds. Luis was a hardworking and devoted family man.
Luis is survived by his 6 loving daughters; Margarita Corrales, Maria Elena Henao, Luz Dinora Estrada, Sonia Arboleda, Bertha D. Estrada and Angela Hernandez and his 3 devoted sons; Elkin O. Estrada, Fidel Estrada and Giovanni Estrada. Mr. Estrada was a proud grandfather of 15 and a great grandfather of 11.
Visitation for Mr. Estrada will be held on Wednesday December 28th from 1-3pm & 5-9pm in The Coelho Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 29th at 9:30am in Holy Spirit Church 1030 Dexter St. Central Falls. Committal Prayers will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Chapel of Hope and Memory, Blackstone Blvd Providence.
