Lorna (Johnston) Garneau

Lorna Garneau 78 of Central Falls passed away suddenly on February 28, 2025.  Mrs. Garneau was the wife of the late Richard Garneau. 

Lorna was born in Belfast, Ireland on July 27, 1946, daughter of the late Sarah Johnston.  When Mrs. Garneau settled in Rhode Island she worked in local textile mills for several years in addition to raising her family with Richard.

In addition to her love for her family, Lorna enjoyed spending time outside and dedicating time to her garden.  She was a lover of all kinds of flowers and plants. 

Lorna Garneau is survived by her son David Garneau of Pawtucket.  She was the proud grandmother of Issac Garneau and Elyjah Garneau, both of Pawtucket.  Lorna also leaves behind a sister, Nan Ware of Connecticut.  In addition to her late husband and her late parents, Lorna is reunited with her sister, the late Jane Sugarman and her brother the late David Johnston.

Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday March 6th 9-11am in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls.  A service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 11am.  Procession to St. Paul's Cemetery (Gaskill St & No. Main St. Blackstone, MA) for committal prayers will follow.
