Larry Charon Obituary

Larry Robert Charon 61, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice in Providence surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Dallas Texas, a son of the late Clara Sue Cope and George Robert Charon. He was raised in Pawtucket, RI by his father and stepmother Lorraine Skeldon.

Larry had a passion for fishing, which began at an early age. He would lead his sisters, and later his younger brother, on adventures to his favorite fishing holes, for a day of doing what he loved. Larry was also known to be a very hard worker, which also started early with a profitable paper route that he took much pride in.  Prior to being diagnosed with cancer last November, he worked two jobs for two amazing bosses, who valued him as both employee and friend.

Besides his stepmother, Lorraine Skeldon, Larry is survived by his siblings Richard Charon , Sandra Nary and her husband Michael, Tracy Lander, Joseph Cope and his wife Tammie, Shawn Charon and his wife Melissa and Roselyn Charon. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Besides his Mom, he was also predeceased by his sister Maryann Flanagan.

Larry had a strong will to live that kept us all optimistic that he would beat the odds. He will be missed by his family and special friends who were part of his extended family.
