Kevin Roy Poirier a resident of Pawtucket since 2000 passed away suddenly on July 6, 2022 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. Mr. Poirier was 59 years old. He was born in Tupper Lake, NY on March 16, 1963 and was the son of David and Anne (Wells) Poirier. Kevin was the best friend and husband of the late Annette (Shea) Poirier, with whom he is reunited.
Upon graduation in Watertown, NY, Kevin moved to Boston, MA to enrich his passion of music. He was a talented song writer and drummer for the band “Harle Quin”. Kevin and Annette met at a show that he and his band was performing at. Mr. Poirier was also a talented carpenter and worked for Aluma Built and New Pro. He also did general contracting for himself on the side.
Kevin was a very private man who was a dedicated family man. He was a terrific Dad who enjoyed fishing, especially with his son Ryan. He and Annette enjoyed their trips to the Plainridge and Twin River Casinos and Kevin had a very lucky hand at KENO and scratch tickets.
Mr. Poirier is survived by his children Stephanie Nankali of Pawtucket, Ryan Poirier of Pawtucket, Amanda Poirier of Pawtucket, Jessica Poirier of Johnston, Kevin Poirier of Pawtucket, Denver Poirier of Pawtucket and Mia Poirier of Pawtucket. He was the proud grandfather of Gianna, Ryleigh, Sophia, Brayden, Ryan, Jr. Aydin and Giovani. Kevin was the brother of David Poirier, Scott Poirier and Tammi Poirier all of NY and he is reunited with his sister the late Paula Poirier.
Private Cremation will take place in the Western Hills Crematory in Cranston. A Memorial Service will be held in Tupper Lake, NY at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of The Coelho Home of Central Falls.
