Obituary
Juanelys Ivette Rodriguez Melendez of Providence passed away peacefully on the morning of September 6, 2023 with her loving parents at her side following a courageous battle 10 year battle with heart failure. She was 15 years old.
Born on April 14, 2008 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Juanelys was the daughter of Juan Rodriguez and Kimberly Melendez. She lived with her family in Providence for the last 3 years where she enjoyed attending school and just months ago celebrated her graduation from the 8th grade.
Juanelys loved all music especially music from various Puerto Rican musicians. She was drawn to art and was blessed with many artistic skills such as making jewelry, crafts and painting. A passion from a young age for Juanelys was her love of horses.
In addition to her loving parents Juanelys is survived by her beloved sister Yaneishka Rodriguez Melendez of Providence. She is also survived by her grandparents Juan Rodriguez and Ivette Delgado and Rudolfo Jimenez and Jeanette Torres all of Puerto Rico. Juanelys is also survived by her loving aunt Karloine Jimenez also of Puerto Rico.
In accordance with her family’s wishes there will be no formal services. Private Cremation will take place. The Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls is entrusted with arrangements.
