Joshua M. Diaz Muniz

Joshua M. Diaz Muniz, 29, a longtime resident of Pawtucket passed away on August 7, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital due to injuries sustained in a car accident.  Mr. Diaz was born on May 4, 1995 in Amsterdam, New York, son of Jesus M. Diaz and Marilyn Muniz.  He was the husband of Leahnna Mendoza of Pawtucket. 

Joshua was a talented and outgoing person.  His personality lit up a room as soon as he walked in…even if he was late arriving to that room which most of the time, he was late to wherever he went.  He was an amazing Dad, son, partner and brother.  Mr. Diaz treated his friends like they were his own brothers and sisters. 

Mr. Diaz enjoyed working out, proudly never wearing a shirt.  He loved cars, especially Hondas, which he worked on with great passion.  Joshua had most recently been working in the construction field as a carpenter, a talent that brought him a great feeling of accomplishment.  He enjoyed watching boxing which matched his personality perfectly as, he was a fighter what those he loved and for what he believed in. 

Joshua Diaz touched the lives of many and through those lives his memory will live on forever.

In addition to his mother, father and wife, Joshua leaves behind his children; Noah Diaz, Sophia Diaz, Joshua Diaz, Jr. and Elias Diaz.  He is survived by his siblings, Jesus M. Diaz, Jr., Ramon M. Diaz, Juan M. Diaz, Angel Diaz and his wife Liz Mary Cruz, Emmanuel J. Diaz, Virgin M. Rivera, Vimary Diaz, Jashera M. Diaz and Dora J. Diaz Muniz.  Mr. Diaz also leaves behind his devoted uncle Marco Muniz and his best friend Brian Poras.

Visiting Hours will be held on Monday August 19th from 5-8pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St in Central Falls.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday August 20th at 10am.  Interment will follow in Swan Point Cemetery 585 Blackstone Blvd in Providence.
