Joseph Strycharz also affectionately known as “Dziazu” and “The Corn Man”, a longtime resident of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, at home surrounded by his beloved family. He was 89 years old. Mr. Strycharz was the husband of Elaine (Salois) Strycharz.
Born in Central Falls, RI on January 15, 1937, Joseph was the son of the late Anita (Szymanski) and Joseph Strycharz. A natural and outstanding work ethic was an attribute that would best describe Joseph. As a young man, Mr. Strycharz spent 8 years working on his grandfather’s dairy farm. At the age of 18, Joseph began working on concrete forms for 2 years, later returning to the dairy industry as a truck driver for Salois Dairy of Pawtucket for 30 years. Mr. Strycharz would then spend the next 10 years employed by Seekonk Supply before retiring in 2003.
Spending time outdoors was Joseph’s favorite thing to do. He loved tending to his beautiful garden and flowers. “The Corn Man”, owned and operated “Joe-Jack’s Corn Stand” in North Attleboro for over 16 years, a corn stand that brought so much joy to residents and connected a community. Above all, Mr. Strycharz was an outstanding family man, who has left a legacy of hard work and dedication throughout an amazing and well lived life.
In addition to his wife Elaine of North Attleboro, Joseph Strycharz is survived by his loving children; David Strycharz and his wife Ann of Rehoboth, Dianne Kane and her husband Michael of North Attleboro, Joanne Quirk and her husband Matthew of Rehoboth, Doreen Viara and her husband James of Seekonk and Julie St. Laurent and her husband Edmond of Seekonk. He was a proud grandfather of 14 and a great grandfather of 15. Joseph leaves behind a sister; Christine Wnuk of North Attleboro and a brother; Stanley Strycharz of S. Attleboro. Along with his parents, Joseph is also reunited with his brother, the late Anthony Strycharz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Monday March 2nd in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church 385 Central Ave. Seekonk, MA.
