Jose Manuel Garcia

Jose Manuel Garcia of Pawtucket passed away on February 15, 2025 at his home following a brief illness.  Mr. Garcia was 69 years old.  He was born on November 17, 1955 in St. Michael’s, Azores and was the son of the late Olinda Bettencourt and Angelo Garcia Medeiros. 

Jose grew up in Pawtucket and enjoyed a variety of sports.  He was a talented soccer player and baseball player.  Mr. Garcia also loved shooting pool, playing cards and fishing.

Jose was employed as a forklift operator for several years at Collier Wire on Higginson Ave.  He also worked in the construction industry for many years of his life. 

Jose Manuel Garcia is survived by his daughter Lisa Garcia Fugueira of Rehoboth, MA and Ariel Garcia of Providence.  He was the beloved brother of Mario Bettencourt of Fall River, MA and Angelo Bettencourt Medeiros and his wife Anna of Fall River, MA.  Mr. Garcia is also survived by 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Private Cremation was held as Mr. Garcia wished.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
