Obituary

John Sheldon Pickett 65 of Central Falls died peacefully on the morning of August 21, 2023, at Philip Hultiar Hope Hospice in Providence.  Mr. Pickett was the beloved husband of Carolyn M. (Smith) Pickett. 

Mr. Pickett was born on February 21, 1958, in Barranquilla, Colombia to the late Charles R. and Laura C. (Civitelle) Pickett.  Following his graduation from high school John enlisted in the United States Coast Guard.  Following completion of his enlistment contract Mr. Pickett left the service for a short time before returning to his beloved post with The Guard.  He also worked as a line cook at McDonald’s. 

Some of John’s enjoyments were riding his low rider motorcycle, watching anything Sci-Fi and being with his family.

In addition to his loving wife Mr. Pickett is survived by his son Zachary Pickett.  He was the brother of Susan Outon, Mary Pickett, Christina Pickett, Chuck Pickett, Bobby Pickett, Billy Pickett, Tommy Pickett and Jimmy Pickett.  John is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.

Private Cremation will take place in accordance with John’s wishes.  Arrangements entrusted to Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
