John A. Jaskierny, who would have celebrated his 64th birthday this past Monday, passed away at the VA Medical Center in Providence after an illness. He was the husband of Isabel (Torres) Jaskierny. John and his family has lived in No. Providence for the last three years previously residing in Lincoln for several years.
Mr. Jaskierny had served in the US Army for a total of twenty-eight years. He also had been employed as a train conductor for the Providence Worcester Railroad, for Amtrak for ten years and for the last five years, he worked for the Commuter Train in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He also enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Logan John Jaskierny and Taylor Lawrence Jaskierny both of No. Providence and his step son Jaime Mendez. He also leaves a brother, Peter Adam Jaskierny of New York, NY.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday December 4th from 4-7pm in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross. St. Central Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 5th at 10am in St. Jude's Church 301 RI-123 Lincoln, RI. Burial with Military Honors will follow Mr. Jaskierny's Mass in Swan Point Cemetery 585 Blackstone Blvd in Providence.
