Jean M. DeWitt, 87, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully at the Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence, after a long illness. She was the widow of the late Richard Noury. Jean was born in Hood River, Oregon, a daughter of the late Gerald and Anna (Quaglia) DeWitt. She had moved to Attleboro years ago and then to Pawtucket.
Jean was a noted artist, and did work for the Pawtucket Arts Council, the former Pawtucket Steamboat Festival and also had done work for the LaSalette Shrine in Attleboro, MA and the Edaville Railroad of Carver, MA.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheri Willcox, with whom she made home, and Denise Mulloy of Cumberland: three sons, Lorne Therrian of Providence, Gerald Grenier of So. Carolina and Frank Grenier of Central Falls. She also leaves 10 Grandchildren and nine Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Daniel DeWitt and Carol Duby.
Visitation Monday evening from 4 until 7 PM in the Coelho Home, Central Falls. A Funeral Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday morning at 10 AM in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Mary's Cemetery, No. Attleboro, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
